Dogs have long held a special relationship with humans.  They’ve adapted to our lifestyle and what we need in a companion pet.  Pet a dog and your blood pressure goes down; take your dog for a walk and you get exercise as well; look into a dog’s eyes and you see unconditional love.

In this project, we learn what it takes to keep man’s best friend happy and healthy.  What foods are good and not so good, grooming, the parts of a dog, how dogs communicate, and the many roles that dogs play in our lives.  Dog ownership is not required.  Members plan an annual 4-H Doggy Fun Day, and enter their dogs in the San Mateo County Fair.

Meetings are generally the first Saturday in the month, although this can change if we go on a field trip.  Members are notified of upcoming meetings via email.  Questions or suggestions?  Please call or email.
