Why do hobbycrafts? In the Hobbycrafts Project members learn valuable skills such as basic sewing skills, fine motor skills, making do with less, reusing common household items, and basic art skills that translate into how you dress or how you decorate a room or garden. There’s so much satisfaction when you produce beautiful, fun or useful items (sometimes all three!) and everyone’s end product is unique reflecting their own personality. These skills benefit everyone, no matter what your future holds. Plus, we just have a great time!
Our project meetings are held once a month, usually on the 3rd Saturday of the month, and members are notified of upcoming meetings via email. There is usually a small supply fee associated with each meeting.
Members are encouraged to enter their crafts in the 4-H County Expo, and in the San Mateo County Fair.
